I’m so so glad the Count of Monte Christo was at the top of your list! I just finished it a week ago and it is one of my all time favorite classics! I’ll definitely have to check out your other recommendations!
I’ve not read East of Eden but have read and taught the other two. Adding to my TBR!
Count took my breath away several times when I first read it. I won’t spoil by saying why. Rebecca was always the favorite of my sophomores by popular vote. They would come in clamoring to have their say in the discussion when the really juicy things happened. So good! 📚
I'm going to read, Rebecca.
Yes! I was thinking of making it the book club pick for March too.
I’ve read it before but would love to do a group read!
Great choices! ✌🏼
Agree, I've read The Count and East of Eden. I will have to look for Rebecca!!
We are reading it this month for our book club pick if you want to join us!
I’ll opt out of Jane Eyre (I’ve read it and I’m not a fan) but I’d be in for any of the other 3!
I have read all of these (but it’s been a minute) and I think they should be required reading for all students.
Think I’ll dive back in.
I’ve only read The Count, I really want to read the other two!
I remember staying up all night reading Rebecca, then a generation later my three children did the same thing.

Well, the first two are favorites...so maybe I need to read East of Eden!
I can’t wait to give these a read.
